Point of Sale (POS)
I always thought "Point of Sale" was to do with the three dimensional structures that are placed on counter tops in stores, promoting products. Seems I was wrong. This customer uses the term to define promotional printed material (posters mainly) to promote a service or event at the point of sale.
This customer is a well known chain of family pubs with childrens' soft play access. They own a brand called Fuzzy Ed's. They are a group of robotic/alien/creatures that go under the name of The Fuzzoids. These characters were pre-existing when I first got involved. Sadly, they were only ever rendered in a basic set of poses by the original creators. They are pictured below.
These colourful characters were given their own personalities and had to be featured on all POS material. The added challenge this presented was that they had to be constantly manipulated to serve the needs of the POS project whether it was a summer scene or wintry scene. Ultimately an Image Gallery of over 700 images was created of these characters in different poses. Below is a gallery showing the wide range of artwork created.
